The first ten amendments to the United States Constitution. Enacted soon after the original Constitution was adopted, the first ten amendments were added to prohibit the federal government from taking away or limiting various rights and freedoms of the citizens, uch as the right of free speech, freedom of worship, freedom of the press, etc.
