Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
Any procedure or combination of procedures by which disputing parties may resolve their disagreement without resorting to formal litigation in a public court. The two main methods by which ADR takes place are arbitration and mediation. Using ADR can be advantageous because it is less costly and less time-consuming than a standard court hearing. On the other hand, it often involves more compromise than some parties are willing to give. Selected Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) links: |
